I’ve moved to a new office early February as one of my colleagues had left the department to join another one north of the border. As this office has air-conditioning, it was a golden opportunity to seize the chance. Luckily, the whole department was getting a spot of new paint and before I got to settle down with all my stuff, the decorator was kind enough to start with my office first. Those of you who have seen what the office looks like on FB would have seen this panoramic shot I took with the iPhone, but of late, I had put up a couple of things on the wall to kinda spruce things up a bit.

What do you think?

To maintain the momentum in my self-taught Japanese lessons, I invested in a notebook. It does help. I found that I tend to forget if I merely followed the lessons by reading and writing in the text book. By actually making myself write whole sentences from the lessons offered, I felt I have improved in writing although I still have the な、は、ま、や、ら and わ series of alphabets left.

I hope to finish the hiragana letters ASAP and continue on with the grammar bits as per the book chapters. I have to say the book is very good, and I’ve now volumes 2 and 3 in anticipation of completing this first book. As they say in Japan, 頑張りましょう!
