The first day of demolition work for my #projekdapoq begins tomorrow. I am filled with trepidation, as well as excitement.

A few weeks ago I decided on a worktop for the kitchen, a decision which I made in less than 5 minutes. It was obviously a rash decision, and on revisiting the options, I requested for quotes on these ones instead.

But you know something is not right when you keep revisiting the options pretty much every other day. And then I realised that it was staring me in the face all this while.

Ipanema white it is.

I have also decided on opening the dining hall into the decking of the backyard, as originally planned.

Oh, and did I say the windows will also be done?

Watch this space.

Before work is to start, I had a short meeting with the builder just to cross the T’s and dot the… lower case J’s.

What better way to present your ideas in colour, eh?

Following the meeting, it was time to clear out. Found a lot of old stuff that brought memories back. And I also found documentation from the previous homeowner. The old kitchen was done up 18 years ago. It’s about time, then.
