So he loves going to gigs, then?

He was enjoying some lovely barbecued steak one sunday afternoon when someone asked him berapa ratus gig have he been to. He’s been to a few, but he’s sure the number’s not in the hundreds. He used to make a record of the gigs he went to in his filofax but the list stopped in mid-2000. He also used to write little gig reviews for ROTTW and they’d give him a free copy for his trouble. Now, with this blog, he prefers to write his reviews online.

Trundling through the list made him notice a few things:
- the obvious vacuum during an important era of 90′s rock music, ie the grunge / alternative years. And no, he doesn’t wanna talk about it!
- he only watched a measly total of four gigs in the UK during his university years.
- he saw one gig for every 30 days in 2006.
- a number of the support acts he saw are headliners today (Limp Bizkit, Muse)
- two of the venues do not exist anymore. Newcastle Mayfair is now The Gate. The Leeds Town & Country Club has also been torn down.
- he actually went to Dudley to watch a gig (he met the lead singer of Will Haven there!).
- his ticket for the Mono gig in 2009 is numbered 00001.
- he has seen Metallica FIVE times.
