I wish I was home.
Less than a fortnight ago on May 9, for the first time ever, I became really interested in the Malaysian general election on the day of the polls. I had a window opened on my desktop at work showing the live results. The results were close at late morning UK time, but the tide had slowly turned come the afternoon.
I was at a restaurant having dinner when I saw this on my phone.
61 years. This was history happening in front of my eyes.
The very next day, my sis-in-law in KL bought all manner of newspapers that she could get her mitts on.
I then find myself doing something rather odd. The next few days were spent on YouTube watching pre-election campaign speeches from the coalition that won[1].
And actually reading news from mainstream Malaysian news portals became less of a chore subsequently.
