As almost everything was acoustic, it meant mic-ing the instruments or using electro-acoustics which would then require DI boxes. My brother told me I could actually add four more channels by using the Yamaha 4-track that a friend gave which was lying dormant in my attic. And as luck would have it, the Yamaha 4-track is able to convert line-to-mic levels for each channel. Yay, no need to spend £28 (each) for a DI!
