I have no idea what boiler to get and googling for online fora in that subject narrowed my choice down to either a Worcester Bosch or a Vaillant. The tradesman that I went for convinced me that a Vaillant was the way to go, and I got a model powerful enough to power up to three bathrooms, or even the house next door.

The job was done by just one person. Don’t ask how he installed the 35 kg boiler on the wall on his own. The work was first rate, and he took care in flushing the entire system. All the radiators are now balanced, and the boiler is set at 26 kWatts enough for what I use. When the time comes for the ensuite shower room to built, boleh adjust lagi but let’s cross the bridge when we get there. The whole package also comes with a funky wireless thermostat control that detects the temperature of the room that it is in. Once the room reaches the optimal temperature of your choice, the boiler cuts off as an energy-saving measure. Nice.

The total damage is a bit over two k. Worth every penny when this will save me a few squids on my energy bills.

Coming soon this summer – double glazed mock sash windows.
