there is a better bootleg of their reading festival show out there. so pandai-pandai la cari. each song’s probably out on youtube.com anyway (see example in the sidebar).

i am not sure where these videos come from. apparently, they were showing some of the bands playing live on the kerrang! channel. i don’t really care, now i get to see better-than-front-row views for one of their england shows.

SAD UPDATE (2300hrs): i have made DVD of said muat-turun-ed vid. looks rubbish, but that’s ok since it’s done in the spirit of the bootleg. ada menu oo.

two new albums are gracing my iPod as of yesterday evening. one is audioslave‘s third effort, revelations. they apparently went into the studio pretty immediately after their last tour. the album sounds great, they sound more gelled. morello’s solos seem to be of a faster speed as well. there goes covering their new material for next year’s sheffield gig. you have your typical audioslave rockers like shape of things to come, but the best thing is they seem to have this funk thang going on. check out one and the same and jewel of the summertime. funk-kay sial.

the other is iron maiden‘s a matter of life and death. fans tend to bemoan the fact of how a band sounds shite when they try to innovate themselves with newer sounds / styles. take pearl jam’s example where their current effort is rocking as hard as… well, probably album numero tres. maiden also seems to be joining the going-full-circle crowd. it’s a typical iron maiden album, to the point of you going, “hey, i’ve heard this riff before”. but that’s what it’s all about. iron maiden sounding like themselves. as opposed to good frickin’ charlotte. personal top track: different world. really can’t wait to see them a week before christmas! up the irons!
