have any of you read patrick teoh’s niamah!!!? i had to ask luc what it meant and i’ve now one more word to use apart from the obligatory tiew. niamah!!! is a great rant site (my other fav is the idiot behind the iron mask – acerbic and intelligent writing, fantastic ingredients for a good rant).
i do rant from time to time, although whether i use 無秩åºã®èƒƒ as a platform to let it all out, i’ve a feeling it’s kinda rare. i think the rambles & rants category that i use is more of the former than the latter.
anyhoo, as a tribute, i’ve recently had a thing or two that i’m cheesed off about. one was a letter from DHL. yes. semuanya ilusi belaka. i was already half-expecting the VAT on the taylor i bought recently, but an extra 26% customs tax? what the fcuk? and to think they actually tax the total cost of the item and the shipping itself? are they mental?
(in your honour, mr. teoh) niamah!!!
i actually have a youtube account where i have some vids of the gig from last march. don’t you just love the random strangers that drop comments? especially of the flaming kind. thankfully, as 無秩åºã®èƒƒ is rather a shit blog, i don’t get that many random readers to do so (do so at your own peril, you’d wish you weren’t even an itch in your dad’s nether region). there was a vid of a band and some guy dropped a comment on how the guitar wasn’t memberangsangkan. whilst i do take constructive criticism and am well aware that we are flippin’ amateurs, to take a comment from a person whose entire list of videos were composed of fcukin’ aqua? yes, the barbie fcukin’ girl one.
tiew!!!
i don’t have the luxury to sound intelligent this evening. but i do feel happier now.
I love it when a man turns into a bitch! *clap clap clap*
that’s the risk you take when uploading your work online. the www is full of frakkin’ critics.
you can play guitar like satriani and still get idiotic comments on youtube. i haven’t seen the “offending” clip but i don’t need to. it was an amateur gig, after all.
Good point jim. I think it boils down to being able to be anonymous online lah. But therein lies the advantage jugak. You might play what you think is a cool-ass solo and your friends (being friends) will give you that reluctant nod of approval. But once you upload it onto youtube, some dick will gladly tear it apart.
Heck, I’ve seen some people tear apart Eric-fcukin’-Clapton. Admittedly it was a bad take, but KAMON!!! On an average day, I bet my pinky (which I don’t use much anyways) E.C. can make the commenting person cream in his pants. Bodoh betul.
tiew!!!
bak ler dia punya link kalau ye pun, 😛
so that we can call many more random strangers to view the gig 😛
