The best bit of the show when everything was musically stripped down when she did an unplugged version of The One That Got Away which segued into Adele’s Someone Like You. And my favourite Cik Perry tune, Thinking Of You, that was sung with just her on her Taylor. It didn’t really matter if she hadn’t sang that on a floating cloud that came just in front of us in the middle of the arena. I just didn’t like her cover of Whitney Houston’s Dance With Somebody. Not because I am a fan of Whitney, but that song? Bak kata Will Smith, damn! As expected, she sang the anthem-y Firework as the last song of her main set.
And, yup. She wore her Hershey’s Kisses aluminum[sic] costume during California Gurls (no Snoop Dogg today, sorry) for the encore. Bladi hel lah.
