Much to my surprise, a lot of the new plants are flowering despite their diminutive sizes. Take the climbing rose, for example. It still is a small shrub with one climber and looks like its blossoms will be pink in carer.

And if you remembered my last post on the garden, there was this one climber I can’t remember the name of. It’s a clematis, and it has blossomed too.

The clematis is a genus of about 300 species within the buttercup family composed of mostly vigorous, woody, climbing vines , according to Wiki, and the one I have may well be of the ‘multi blue’ variety.

The lilies are blooming nicely just as well. The reason I am kinda amazed that this is mid-summer. Guess I don’t know anything about gardens, do I?

Even the puny hosta has bloomed – seen here with a bee.

The geranium is doing mighty fine too.

Apart from the flowers, I sorted out some very old house plants. One is a yucca I owned since 1992 (which I have split into two separate pots) and the other is a penny plant I received as a gift from a friend like 14 years ago. They are still alive and hopefully with new compost they’d do well for another two decades or so, I hope!

I am thinking whether or not to get the pebbles sorted after Raya for that partial zen-like effect I wanted. I have deferred my decision to get a little stone pagoda until the acer grows a bit bigger. Don’t want it to get nicked. As for the barbecue sesh, just wait for it in late August I guess.
