So it is confirmed that there is water on Mars. I was half expecting to hear news of them finding a crashed Autobot ship, or rows and rows of ovoid structures containing slimy crabs with tails.

On a more serious note, this is indeed a historic event, and brings me back to my pre-teen years learning about planets on those Usborne books my late mom used to get me.


Since we’re talking about outer space, I’d like to give a quick, and super belated, recommendation. Once the DVD comes out, please check out Terbaik Dari Langit if you haven’t seen it yet.

The film premiered (under the alternative title, Nova) in the autumn of 2014 at the Tokyo International Film Festival. It’s one of the freshest Malay films that I’ve seen thus far, and is the sophomore effort of Nik Amir Mustapha who directed KIL previously. I will do a quick review of this soon, but have a look at the trailer.
