my verdict: not bad. that’s considering that on a busy sunday morning, the roti was somewhat garing. don’t you just hate doughy roti canai – if i want dough, i’ll buy häagen-dazs. the ikan (i hope/think it was) curry was nice, but nothing out of the ordinary – i get the same quality at our local. a tray containing an array of lauks came our way and i chose a plate of chicken masala, which was a tad salty but was otherwise lovely. two teh tariks later, i’ll definitely choose to come by again, if not for just the roti but the lovely daun pisang fragrance that comes with each roti and thosai dish that is served.

Funnily enough, my first visit to Raju’s was also on a Sunday morning. Must say, the fare was good, but it was the ambiance of the daun pisangness of it all that made it feel like I was somewhere special.
i miss raju’s. here the roties are crap (mostly).
Man I look fat. Apa masalah aku nak mendada tu.

I remember this place, my mum calls it the ‘kedai bawah pokok tu’. Lama tak makan sana. My mum used to go there after work in UM. Someday I hope to work in UH and have my afternoon tea there too.
Pickyin: yup, that would be me from the neck down.
