my monthly/bi-monthly trips across the peaks bring me here for these guys just so i could make this. it keeps well in the freezer which means i can really stock up. no prizes what’s for berbuka today then.
hi.. i’ve a silly question.. that’s fresh kuewtiaw / ho fun right? so you actually keep them in the freezer? but then you have to defrost them before cooking right? is that easier than using the dried one?
hi. not a silly query at all! i keep it in the freezer because, even in a good fridge, the fresh k teow’s shelf life is at most a week. since manchester is a few miles away and i can’t be bothered to go on a whim nak beli, i buy in bulk. hehe.
i would put the frozen k teow in hot water over the stove and just when dia lerai je, angkat. it will be exactly as you bought it!
and fresh is wayyyy better than those dried rice sticks…
Itu sayur kangkung ke?
kuchai la. kangkung mana ada daun tirus. 😀
