it wasn’t until a couple of months after the said modification, ESP came up with the 20th anniversary Kirk Hammett signature model (very the limited edition) which is a splitting image. okay, the original is a neck-thru, but still, how bizarre is that! this is one loud mutha. went through the motions using a line 6 spider head followed by a marshall MG-series head, both of which powering a line 6 4×12″ cab (i prefer the marshall, hands down). being an LTD, this guitar doesn’t fail in the metal section – chugging riffs were aplenty with the gain put up. for solo work, i passed it on to trabye to do his thing and the guitar tone is simply awesome.
you’d never know that the guitar is made in indonesia (only series 400 and above are made in korea).
the ESP horizon is still there. in the shop. *sigh*
