this is a slight departure from my previous spanish travelogue – i’ll be (well, attempting to) writing on (and off) the road/railtracks. i’m at the departure lounge pour le train à st. pancras. picking the tix up was as easy as it was for local british trains, with the only difference with this being an international trip, you have to treat this as you would going to the airport. another strange thing was, the border/immigration officials were french – and on the return trip at gare du nord, it’ll be the british officials handling things. passport control was literally, c’est facile – the disinterested antoine de caunes-lookalike (honest) officer simply stamped my passport without a single question. no complains there.
