Four days should’ve been enough but it didn’t feel like it as I had invested much time for the two SCANDAL gigs.
Would I shop in Singapore? Yes, if the guitar I want is available at Davis[1]. They did have this but I must’ve missed it if it was displayed:
Shopping for anything else would be more of a hit-and-miss affair. I bought a new pair of kicks at Peninsula for a bargain, for example, but I don’t see myself buying running shoes every 12 months. Clothes? Unless it’s something/a brand I cannot find in the UK or Europe. I didn’t get to check out the BAPE store on Orchard Road although this is another once-in-a-blue-moon purchase even if I get to the BAPE store in London[2].
For the next visit, whenever that’ll be, I wanna do the makan thing a bit better. I did get my murtabak and rojak fix in this trip, but I’d like to see if the other recommended (and boleh makan) options are worth checking out. And the old rojak place near the river I was on about at Empress Place? This is what it looks like now (on Google Maps):
And do Marina Bay Sands properly. I want shots of the Helix Bridge. And the Skypark tour as well, if I can calm my acrophobic nerves. And no, I don’t think I wanna splurge on getting a SGD500-a-night room at the hotel.
And would I still take the bus, I mean, fly Air Asia? Yes[3], despite the somewhat convoluted way their site is organised (aimed to make unwary would-be travellers click on the yes-i-want-insurance bits for example). It is only a 45-minute flight where the plane flies level for less than a minute before it descends again, so, yeah the cheaper, the better. On both flights, the plane had like a total of like 20 passengers. Gila or what?
It had been 29 years, man.
