if you remembered that i wanted this, the dream came true this morning as i picked it up in a town called batley in west yorkshire.
why the three-figure price tag? obviously, it’s the label one might say. not denying it, but i figure there’s also the design aspect too. how did i fall in love with it, and that’s from a photo on the internet. if i may add, there is also the fact the material’s solid. a twenty five quid item from ikea does not have solid and not to mention heavy besi poles (think of old-school basikal handles here).
and there’s also the fact that it came from denmark just because, like any customer, i ordered one. there goes my effort in reducing my carbon footprint.
justifying a purchase? perhaps. but damn it looks great in the media room [click here to see].
woah
cantek!
awesome! I am totally with you. I spend money on accent pieces buying things I really love and things like bookshelves come from Ikea because the stars shoudl be the books not the shelves and it can totally blend into the background.
hahahaha on consumer’s guilt – I justify it with I gorgeous and I am the one who has to live with it… but I do practise selective guilt 😉 like when I tell myself why oh why I shouldn’t go out and get the i-phone 3G!
