oooh, and did u take the D5 through the Kirkstone Pass? its one fun drive (south to north) and u can also see the Kirkstone Pass Inn, highest Inn at 1500 ft 🙂
went there with a couple of friends early last month, hiked a few trails but the most beautiful gotta be the one up to Walla Crag from Keswick, then down and around Derwent Water. it was a challenging ascent (especially for someone not as fit as me, haha) but once up there, the view is amazing, it was worth it!! saw all of Derwent Water, Keswick town, Scaffel Pike in the southwest and the Highland in the north, across Bassenthwaite Lake. can’t wait to go back there again, Insya-Allah 🙂
