i had a feeling the lurgi was to strike again. after having one earlier this year in january, i thought this was too soon to have another one. popped an aspirin and hoped for the best.
drove to manchester with the lads for a rehearsal sesh, only to have punctuality thwarted by an automobile accident up ahead, three quarters of the way on the A57. softly swearing under our breaths for having to double back, we felt that it could’ve been us if we did leave for manchester a bit earlier.
met up with luc and din at the blueprint. that is one cool place – recording studio, rehearsal rooms, pool lounge, the works! worth the £11 an hour tag, i thought. one snag, though. this was a place where people actually bring their own amps (as they do in this country). so, we had to be a little creative to be able to play!
after making sure din could not speak normally ever again, we went to rizkee for an ultra-quick nosh up, pink panthers and all. it was then that i felt the lurgi was there and whilst driving in the peaks in the mild mist, i fervently hoped that tonic water does not actually react with aspirin.
why the rush back to sheffield? for this, of course:
off to bed. the lurgi won. bastard.

Dude, semalam we had nasi lemak man. Sodap I tell you. Clear those sinuses and viruses away in a blink of an eye.
Maybe you need a hot, blonde, russian nurse to take care of you. Sini banyak wei. Siap ada catalogue and boleh buat bini lagi if you are so inclined. Am not sure about boy nurses, but if you are interested, I’ll see if anyone knows how to get some.

it’s not in the dictionary but it is derived from the word allergy. it is pronounced lur-gee (not lur-jee), g as in gajah. the full term is ‘the dreaded lurgi/lurgy’ – commonly used by people at work / in an office environment.
what are you allergy to? I can develop an allergy to certain human – when I do even being in the same room induce nausea 😛
argh I mean allergic too. Please don’t shoot me!
i am not allergy to anything. hahaha. 😆
lurgi just means the common or garden cold. it’s wrongly derived from the word allergy that’s all.
maybe it derived from lethargy :P?
